Two years ago, I invested in Rose Radford's business coaching programme. Yes, it was intensive in both time and money, but two years on, I'm still feeling the returns. Rose helped turn The Executive Coach podcast into a profitable part of my business, transformed my masterclass into a signature corporate talk, and even inspired my words of the year - 'spacious' and 'supported'.
When I wanted to have a proper conversation about money and wealth, I knew Rose was the right person. She's got this brilliant strategic mind but combines it with an abundance mindset on another level. Here's what we explored about masculine and feminine money energies.
Masculine energies are typically more structured and goal-orientated. In sales, a masculine approach focuses on outcomes, ROI, and logical processes. Feminine energy, however, is more intuitive, creative, and flowing - focusing on emotions and feelings.
Masculine energy looks like:
- Structure and planning
- Focus on outcomes and ROI
- Logic-driven decisions
- Control and goal-setting
Feminine money energy shows up as:
- Intuition and creativity
- Trust in feelings
- Flow and receivership
- Surrender to possibilities
Rose shared a story about a friend who put all her house sale money into Bitcoin based purely on a dream. Bad move? Actually, in 18 months, that intuitive decision more than tripled her investment. That's feminine energy in its purest form.
Where we get stuck:
As someone from a corporate background (I studied economics and did the CFA!)I naturally lean towards masculine energy: needing evidence first. Many of my clients, particularly those from financial services, relate to this. But staying too much in one energy can limit us, and staying in masculine energy can block our ability to receive.
Signs you're stuck in masculine energy:
- Constant doing without allowing space for results
- Creating constriction through over-planning
- Hitting the same income ceiling repeatedly
- Resistance to receiving bigger opportunities
The key isn't choosing between masculine or feminine energy - it's learning to dance between the two. Sometimes that means letting your intuition guide a decision, other times it's about creating solid systems and plans.
My big learning? After an intensive year with Rose, I consciously chose to spend the next year in feminine energy - letting things breathe and transpire. That 'marination' period became my way of receiving. Others might jump straight into the next programme, but I needed that space.
In the next episode of The Executive Coach podcast and part two of my conversation with Rose, we'll explore practical strategies around wealth creation. But first, take a look at your own patterns - are you stuck in one energy? What might open up if you learned to dance between both?
